I love this store. Mostly because in the midst of the financial meltdown last fall, CCB came within days of permanently closing their doors. The owners held a meeting with the general public (i.e. the very clientele they serve) to flesh out ideas to help keep their doors open. Needless to say, the lights are on and there's hope for the small book business yet. Hope they never need to close!

The Colorado Railroad Museum is located in Golden, Colorado near Denver. It has an unique collection of railroad locomotives and other equipment that, at one time, was utilized by the Colorado railroads. This scene was shot in Feburary of 1990, and includes the mountain that is a backdrop to the museum, and a house on the grounds. To the far right is the Denver & Rio Grande 2-8-0 Consolidation, #583, and to the far left is a Denver & Rio Grande Caboose on display.

I provide the projector, screen, venue, drinks, snacks, and 8 films. This year's lineup:
Ratatouille, Everything is Illuminated, The Hudsucker Proxy, Brick, The Soloist, The Animation Show, Delicatessen, and Westworld.

Next year I'm shooting for November, before ski season starts. Getting Coloradoans to a film festival was frustrating, to say the least.

For lack of any better reason than "I wanted to" I took a walk through Golden tonight. Over Hwy 58 spans the brand-spankin'-new Washington Street bridge. Fortunately enough, I took just a few seconds to look down on my way across.
